“ PHILADELPHIA, PA (Fairmount): we love places that are specifically catered to dogs where pet parents can have a ton of fun too and The Boozy Mutt is a perfect dog bar! The Boozy Mutt is an off-leash dog park where both dogs and humans can eat and drink from the bar & grill. The food and drink menu is quite big (with gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options clearly labeled), and the Mutt Menu has options like biscuits, burgers, pumpkin pie, a bark-cuterie plate full of all selections, and more! The drink menu includes cocktails, beer, seltzers, and non alcoholic choices. The outdoor space has a turfed yard, umbrellas for shade, adirondack chairs, covered high-top seating, TVs, and heaters. The indoor space has a lot of seating and the window to order food and drinks. There is also a 2nd floor mezzanine space, but it was booked for a private dog birthday party when we were there. We LOVE that dogs are allowed inside. There are "rufferees" to keep an eye on the pups and clean-up, but always keep an eye on your dog. You can even give your dog a bath at their self-serve washing stations for an extra fee. There are events throughout the month and they can host parties! If it is your first time visiting, admission is free. Thereafter, there is a day pass charge between $10-15 per dog, depending on the day (no charge for humans). You can also purchase a reasonably priced monthly or yearly membership. Prior to your visit, make sure you register your dog online and provide proof of vaccinations (rabies, parvo, bordetella). All dogs older than 9 months old must be fixed. If you do not have a dog, you can still enjoy the space and get your doggy fix. ”
“ After posting my original review, I was contacted by the owner of The Boozy Mutt, who reached out with a sincere apology and provided an update on the changes they were making to their sanitation practices. I truly appreciate their willingness to take responsibility and address the issue. They reassured me that they will continue to work on improving the cleaning protocols for the Self-Serve Dog Wash to prevent any similar incidents in the future. It's clear that they are working to ensure a better and safer environment for all pets. I'm thankful that our dog is fully recovered, and I'm hopeful that these new procedures will prevent other pets from going through a similar experience. ”
“ An interesting place to come, with or without a dog of your own. Food and beverages are better than they have to be, and the staff are always very friendly. Beer list isn't extensive but has some good selections, and they have some good cocktail options as well. Just keep in mind that no kids are allowed, even with a parent, unless it is one of the specially designated days, so check the calendar before you come. Not a place I'm coming every weekend, but a good choice if you want to mix things up every once in a while. ”
“ My dogs love coming here. Everyone who works here and brings their dogs here is super kind and attentive. It's really clean, waste gets disposed of immediately, there are great rufferees that look out for all the dogs and make sure they're having fun and not feeling uncomfortable. My dogs feel really safe to play or nap in the sun and they always have a great time playing with all the dogs here! Playing here has helped their socialization greatly and now my puppy feels much more comfortable playing rough with the bigger dogs. I like that you can also order from the doggy menu to give them a snack in between play time! It's also great that there is WiFi and outlets and really nice benches and tables where you can get some work done while your dogs play. ”
“ We've been here a few times and really it's such a convenient and nice time every time that we will continue to go. The space itself isn't the largest but the outdoor area is big enough for a bunch of dogs to run around with plentiful seating both in the grass area and the tables. Our most recent visit, they had a pool which was a nice addition for the dogs. It's slightly hit or miss how busy it'll be but if you go when it's busy there's a great variety of dogs for ours to interact with, so they love it. There isn't much else for them to do besides run around, which could be an area for improvement (things to climb/jump/, toys, etc.). The staff is incredibly attentive, both to the dogs and to us in terms of asking if we want more from the bar. The bar itself has a nice cocktail menu. The food options are fine (be careful of a dog stealing some of your food from the table!). The beer options could be a skosh better. Finally, it's such an accessible location in the heart of a quiet neighborhood. And once you're registered appropriately, the walk-in/check-in process is such a breeze. ”
“ Very great dog themed bar with the inside gated portion for dogs to run around and play in. Once you sign the waiver and enter from their merch shop into the inner bar area, there's lots of seating inside and outside. Decent food and drink selection. Mondays are dollar dog night as well. The staff were great especially in maintaining friendliness from the dogs outside. The place is very well maintained, and it's a fun atmosphere whether you're a human or a dog! Thanks ”
“ My friends and I heard about this place and wanted to stop by to hang out with some pups. Even though we don't have any pets, we were still welcome to visit, which I thought was great! Before entering the staff help you fill out an electronic waiver -- the staff were very helpful and friendly, making sure that we were taken care of. There is an indoor and outdoor seating area with plenty of space for dogs to run around. As for the menu, there is a variety of option for food -- think your standard bar food such as fries, hot dogs, sandwiches and whatnot. There was also a good variety of drinks available to grab. I didn't think the food or drinks were outstanding, but they were solid and worth to me for the experience. If you wanted to get something for your furry friend, there is also a food menu for dogs! The Boozy Mutt also has different events on the day of week, such as Trivia on Tuesday. There are also certain days of the month where there will be specific events such as dog breed meet ups. The website has a lot of helpful information that answered a lot of my questions. I will definitely be coming back here sometime soon to hang out! ”
“ TLDR: The food comes in large portions that can be enjoyed by dogs or people alike. The plate I got was extremely salty, but none of my friends seemed to have that issue. I just had water with my food, but one friend said that the drinks are really good here as well. The large and enclosed astroturf area out back is the perfect place for dogs of all sizes and ages to run around and play. Right when you enter the building, you are welcomed by a small merch shop with hats, T-shirts, dog toys, and more. Dogs you wish to bring here must be registered at the kiosk and evaluated first, but you can also come here if you don't have a dog to bring. After scanning your ID, the friendly staff let you through two small gates to the main area. There are tables and chairs with long legs throughout the interior, so the chances of a pup stealing something off the table is less likely. In the back "yard" are picnic tables and lawn chairs that are much closer to the ground. Drinks and food are ordered at the small window inside or through your phone. There are QR codes all around that link you to the menu. I found mobile ordering system to be a bit confusing because it gave me an order number after I selected my item to checkout with and even texted me, but it didn't actually go through. I waited maybe 15 minutes before I realized the order never went through. I ended up ordering The Boozy Mutt Omelet and picked it up at the window on the side. I don't know why they don't automatically hand you a fork or spoon when you order foods that are clearly not finger foods, but it's fine. I just asked the staffmember for one when one came back to the counter. The food came with a LOT of potatoes! Both the potatoes and omelet were so salty that I had a bit of trouble eating it all. It was pretty pricey at $17 though, so I wasn't about to waste any of it. The staff here are all really nice and friendly. I really like how their rufferies around the restaurant were really adament about cleaning up after doggy messes and continually made sure to watch them. Some even remembered the many dogs by name. I had a lot of fun watching all the different dogs play and occasionally petting them. They were all really well behaved, so the restaurant's screening process must be really good! Overall, I think this place is good. I am willing to try their other foods even if my meal was not the best. I am optomistic that it was just a fluke. I also just love dogs and think their cuteness makes up for the food not being very palatable. ”
“ Stopped in for a second time today and my Shiba and i had lunch. I had the smash burger with truffle fries and my Shiba had the sweet potato tots. The burger was really good and the truffle fries were so tasty. No other dogs this afternoon so my pup had the run of the house. The staff are super friendly and they all just adore my Shiba! She loves it too. We will be sure to go again soon. A couple suggestions would be that if there were a live camera feed on the website, then customers can see the activity and if having the day pass it would be great to pop over when i can see several dogs present. Also, for slow days, like Mondays, maybe a house dog would be nice so single patrons like myself bringing a single dog could be guaranteed a fur friend. My Shiba would gladly apply for the role. Thanks again Boozy Mutt, we both had a great day today. See ya again soon ”
